• stent-pole production - In broadcast programming and motion pictures, a tent-pole or tentpole is a program or film that supports the financial performance of a film studio or television network. page 46
• ensemble cast - an ensemble cast is one which is composed of multiple principal actors and performers who are typically assigned roughly equal amounts of screen time.
• conglomerate -  a company that owns numerous companies involved in mass media enterprises, is something that not many people even know of, but it is crucial in understanding where your news is coming from page 45
• vertical integration -  Vertical Integration is when a Media Company owns different businesses in the same chain of production and distribution. For example, a 20th Century Fox owns the studios in Hollywood, they also own the cinemas, the TV channels and the DVD rental shops.  page 49
