LEGO MOVIE

Task 1: how does Emmet come across? How effective would this trailer be in promoting the film?

Emmet is not seen as a heroic person. He doesn't uplift the stereotypical charastrics as a hero for example : strong, brave, deceive. At the start of the trailer you can see Emmet doing jumping jacks, he got out of breathe after 3 and couldn't do anymore. this shows he is not very strong and a heroic type. Emmet shows that he is undeceive and needs help to come the best of him. When he feel down and Wyldstyle said "come with me if you don't want to die" Emmet follows her, which shows he thinks he cant survive on himself. he doesn't have enough self confidence.
The trailer is very effective to promoting the film because in the trailer many memorable things occur, from mystery to comedy. One main thing that everyone will remember is "Everything is awesome" this is very popular and everyone knows it comes from the Lego movie. Emmet is not the stereotypical hero which makes the watchers want to know how and what he can achieve. Little kids would love to watch this as they know Emmet is just a regular guy in a city and then saves everything and becomes a hero, which makes kids think they can achieve things like Emment does.

Task 3: Go to the BBFC site and research age ratings. Why was The Lego Movie (2014) given a U rating? You need to click on the Ratings info

Age Restrictions are there to protect kids in what they watch. Ratings provides short description what the film, video, or DVD. U film rating is suitable for all, all ages and everyone. The Lego movie is potentially dangerous but no realistic or accessible weapons, there is also no discrimination language is U rating.  There is no drugs usually no nudity, sex and bad language that will offend younger childern. Lego movie falls under those categories which makes it a U rating
